Parents, Prioritize Spiritual Growth This Summer
In the summer, there is a little more time for moments to exhale and observe the world around me. As I do so, I feel convicted to weave God’s truth into these moments, for myself and for my children.
From children’s ministry to daily life in the home, the greatest gift we can give our kids is a vision of a King who is worth following no matter the cost.

In the summer, there is a little more time for moments to exhale and observe the world around me. As I do so, I feel convicted to weave God’s truth into these moments, for myself and for my children.
As God hallows his name in our lives, he will continue to make us holy by the Spirit. Then we can better obey his commands and live out the gospel before our children and love them as he has loved us.
One of the greatest acts of faith is remembering. We must repeatedly remind ourselves (and our children) of God’s creative power, deliverance, and provision through his unfailing love.
“Our Father, Who Art In Heaven.” When parenting seems unsurmountable, those words tell me where I am, where God is, and that God is El Roi, the God who sees.
Believers gain wisdom through an abiding relationship with God, and children glean it from being in the presence of wise company. Stewarding God’s wisdom for our children begins with parents.
My hope cannot be in my ability to parent perfectly. My hope must be in our Father who is perfectly wise, perfectly loving, and perfectly faithful.
