Jeanette “Net” Wade

Net is a stay-at-home mom and community volunteer. She is married and has one son who is soon to be 16. Net graduated from the University of the South (Sewanee) with a degree in History and obtained a Masters of Education with a specialization in guidance and counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Net has worked in a variety of settings, industries, and schools.  She has served on several community boards in Birmingham among them: McWane Science Center, Kings Home, UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and Create Birmingham. A breast cancer survivor of 13 years, Net appreciates each day with her husband, son, and extended family. Net has many hobbies, among them riding her aging dressage horse, photography, enjoying Lake Martin, and writing. Net and her family attend Cathedral Church of the Advent.
