Rooted Ministry offers a unique, simple annual conference for both youth ministers and parents of teenagers. Rooted Ministry begins with the Gospel as the starting point and considers all matters in student ministry and youth culture from that axis. These conferences feature main sessions, practical workshops, and the most intimate atmosphere you’ve ever encountered at a conference. Just the Gospel, relationships and conversations.
Rooted Ministry organizes our annual conferences for parents and youth ministers to offer great teaching and an ideal venue for relationships and the interchange of ideas. The hope is that attendees will leave feeling that they learned a great deal, both from the program and from conversations.

Rooted 2024
Walking through the book of Daniel.
What does it look like to live in a world that is increasingly hostile to Christianity? Teenagers today feel the enormous pressure of a “you-do-you” culture. Discipling them to walk with Jesus in this modern “Babylon” feels somewhere between daunting and impossible. The Old Testament book of Daniel provides the encouragement we long for and the direction we need in a cultural moment that leaves us crying, “How long, O Lord?” Daniel offers the ultimate hope that one day God will bring all nations under his rule, and we will dwell with him forever! Our prayer is that in studying this book together you will be filled with hope, seeing more clearly the God who loves his people, who is in sovereign control over all things in his world.

Our 2024 main session speakers included John Onwuchekwa, K.A. Ellis, Harold Kim, Cameron Cole, Anna Meade Harris, and Josh Hussung. Each of them walked through different portions of the book of Daniel.
Workshops
The workshops involved 30-45 minutes of instruction from the speaker as well as discussion time, for two different tracks: youth ministry and parenting. View all the workshop descriptions and speaker bios on the Workshops Page.
Meals & Dine-arounds
Each year, we offer several meals for our attendees to connect and fellowship with one another throughout the conference. One dinner and a boxed lunch are included in your registration fee. One night attendees will have the option to attend a dinner group, called a dine-around, at a local restaurant. Youth ministry teams practicing in various contexts lead the dine-around and share how they do ministry in that context.

About: Join us for a pre-conference reception to celebrate all of our recent mentorship graduates! Whether you are currently enrolled, a recent graduate or just new to youth ministry and interested in learning more about the program, we hope you will register (include hyperlink) to attend! We will have mentors in attendance to share more about their experience with our youth ministry and family ministry mentorship programs. We will also provide an overview of the format, requirements and content. Most importantly, the reception will include a recognition of our graduates.
