God leads many of us to trails off the beaten path – cancer, mental illness, autism, a rebellious teen, a child with medical challenges. What then should we do?
Whatever our challenges are as a parent, large or small, we can pray with King David or with the smallest preschooler: “Oh Lord, be my help.”

Knowing that the members of our church see a fellow image bearer when they look at our son gives us hope that we’re not alone in this journey.
We want our children to learn to pray, to depend on God, to build a history with him.
While the world may see those with special needs as a challenge, God does not. They are a crucial part of His plan, with a purpose that only they can fulfill.
