More Than A Meal: Serving Family and Friends, At Christmas and Beyond
I cling to the hope of future celebration, even though I lament the passing of this season into memory.

The overall goal of theological depth is not a new education program…It’s about allowing the gospel to saturate their inner-being.
Year after year, the Rooted content team considers our annual book awards one of the highlights of the year! We are always eager to see what is new and edifying for youth ministers, parents, and teenagers, and we do what we can to vet resources you can trust. Hopefully you will find some potential Christmas gifts among our selections!
As teenagers live in this world with all its hurts, we can point them to the God who keeps every promise he has ever made.
“What better way to encourage teenagers to love great books than to give them hard copies of those books to hold in their hands?”
Theological depth through expository Bible teaching is one of Rooted’s five pillars of gospel-centered youth ministry. As we work to teach teenagers the full counsel of God’s Word (Acts 20:27), we must always seek to grow in the grace and understanding of the gospel ourselves.
Resources for Christian parents abound—but how are parents to comb through all the offerings in order to find books that will be truly helpful? Each year we read the newest selections on the market and award the most helpful ones our “best new book” designation.
“Each year Rooted curates a list of the best new books for youth workers, and this year we have three to recommend.”
We hosted a Rooted Webinar titled Navigating the Holiday Season as a Youth or Family Minister, in which we explored how to shepherd teenagers through the holidays with the grace of the gospel.
