Every year we survey attendees after the conference to learn what we did well and where we might improve going forward. Every year we find our participants love being there as much as the Rooted staff and Steering Committee love putting the conference on. In fact, over the last four years 98.5% of attendees said that Rooted 2018 was the best youth ministry conference they had ever been to.
As we prepare for the 2019 Conference, we are reviewing these surveys again, and we could not be MORE EXCITED to welcome you to Chicago on October 3-5!
Here’s what participants said about the Rooted 2018 conference:
Every aspect of the conference was intentional and well organized. The venue was amazing and perfect. It was humbling and inspiring to be around so many brothers and sisters who are passionate and committed to sharing the Gospel and the love of Jesus with youth today. As a parent and life-long volunteer my spirit was weary when I arrived. Rooted addressed tough issues and reminded me of the hope and joy in sharing the Gospel with youth.
I am new to youth ministry and the conference gave me direction and confidence.
Even with several hundred people, if felt very relational and connected.
Incredibly helpful. I’m in a tough ministry right now and it was a great time to remember what I’m here for and what I am living for. Additionally, finding community with other youth ministers was great for my soul.
I took some of my leadership team and it proved very useful and fruitful for us. All that we learned we were able to talk about together which only furthered the growth we experienced.
This was truly a refreshing and encouraging weekend! Fighting for the gospel and relevance every week in my church. Youth discipleship and Bible teaching is on the back burner. Everyone wants youth ministry to be fun and friends. So it was a treasure to be around people who cared and had the same burden- people who care about Christ, His Word, the Gospel, and the next generation. Really needed the encouragement to be faithful, push ahead, and endure.
I feel like in September I was thinking, “Gosh, Gospel ministry is really hard and I wish I could just preach the imperatives in Scripture… maybe it’s time for me to go to work with adults (and be a “real” pastor) in a ministry that doesn’t take as much time… and then I come to Rooted and am blown away at God’s goodness. I have energy to go and not do but rest in God’s grace!
The typical encouraging, challenging, and community-building experience we have come to expect at Rooted.
Parents and youth pastors are welcome at Rooted 2019 in Chicago- register here and see you there!
