Therefore I Have Hope- A Video Devotion Series with Cameron Cole, Part One

Veteran youth and family pastor Cameron Cole experienced his worst nightmare come true on Monday, November 11, 2013, when his three-year-old son Cam did not wake up. In the months and years that followed, Cole and his wife Lauren recognized how a foundation of twelve theological truths about the love and character of God helped them find hope in the loss of their son. Cole wrote Therefore I Have Hope: Twelve Truths That Comfort, Sustain, and Redeem in Tragedy in order to offer that same hope and comfort to others in the midst of their own tragedies.

Along with an introductory video, each of the following videos will correspond to a chapter in Cole’s book. You will find them on our blog, our YouTube Channel, on Facebook and on Instagram.

Introduction: A Narrative of Hope– Cameron Cole will share the story of his personal tragedy and describe how God led him to write down a narrative of hope to guide him in his darkest days.

Part One The Initial Shock- These videos offer pivotal truths that help in the moments of trauma when your Worst enters your life: grace, gospel, resurrection, and faith.

Video One: Grace– Cole demonstrates how God meets us with His grace in our hour of desperate need.

Video Two: Gospel– Facing the realities of tragedy without the hope of the Christian gospel will crush a person; looking to the empty tomb of Jesus will give you hope.

Video Three: Resurrection– You may feel utterly buried in misery, but the resurrection offers you the hope of redemption. Nothing is hopeless. If God can raise a man from death, he can certainly resurrect your life from the ashes.

Video Four: Faith– Faith is total dependence on the Lord. You can trust your blessed Rescuer.
