“Unlike some of the other Student Ministry curriculum we have used that tries to cover the entire Bible in a year, Rooted allows us to carefully and exegetically walk through books of the Bible at our own pace. We truly enjoy the fact that Rooted has many options that allow us to pick the books of the Bible that we want to study for the year. We love how engaged our students have become with the Holy Scriptures, the lesson, and each other.”

What will students learn from The Apostle Peter study?

In Mark, students will see Jesus’ identity unfold through his life, teaching, and ministry. Jesus was consistently subverting expectations about who the Messiah would be and what he would do as he made his way to the cross to ransom us from our sin.

In 1 Peter, students will learn how Jesus’ suffering, death, and resurrection give us an eternal hope that equips us to face the difficulties and persecution we face as Christians. Jesus’ saving work gives us a new identity that transforms how we live in this world and with each other.

In 2 Peter, students will be exhorted to grow in grace by standing firmly on the gospel of Jesus and God’s Word as they wait patiently for Jesus’ return. While temptations and false teaching seek to draw them away, through Jesus, God provides everything students need to grow and stand firm.
