  • St. Martin’s Episcopal Church is seeking a Lay Minister for Student Ministry to provide leadership for our Middle School and High School ministries. This role supports students and families through engaging, Christ-centered programming focused on Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship, and Outreach.

    Male applicants are encouraged to apply as the incumbent would work alongside the female lay minister to meet the distinct pastoral needs of both our male and female students.

    Duties:

    • Lead middle and high school student ministry programming alongside our female lay minister, including weekly gatherings, Sunday classes, retreats, mission trips, service projects, and special events.
    • Build meaningful relationships with students and families, with a focus on spiritual growth and engagement.
    • Recruit, train, and support adult volunteers, interns, and ministry staff.
    • Oversee the Acolyte Corps (grades 6–12) and support worship services.
    • Maintain clear communication with students, parents, volunteers, and staff.
    • Manage ministry budgets and provide regular reports.
    • Safely transport students to offsite events, as required.
  • Job Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Youth Ministry, Christian Education, or related fields.
    • 3 – 5 years of relevant student ministry experience required.
    • Strong Christian faith aligned with the Anglican tradition.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skill.
    • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.
    • Calm, confident leadership in dynamic or high-energy environments.
    • Collaborative, organized, and proactive ministry approach.
