In part three of this series on adolescent research, Scripture, and Asian American parenting, Danny and Monica look at recent research on unpredictable life events in the lives of teenagers and its impact on their brain development. They use this as a topic to discuss the spiritual vs. the flesh in humanity. They also discuss aspects of immigrant life that may have caused unpredictability for second generation parents growing up and its impact on them as they now parent teenagers. They also consider how parents of teenagers can grow out of harmful habits and set a model of faith for their teenagers.
