Youth Pastor/Director

Responsibilities:

• Spiritual Leadership:

– Lead weekly youth services, including worship, teaching, and discipleship activities.

– Mentor and disciple youth individually and in small groups.

– Provide pastoral care and counseling to youth as needed.

• Program Development:

– Develop and implement engaging programs and events to encourage spiritual growth, community building, and outreach.

– Organize and oversee youth retreats, camps, mission trips, and other special events.

• Team Building:

– Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders to assist in youth ministry activities.

– Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among youth leaders, volunteers, and parents.

• Community Engagement:

– Build relationships with youth, parents, and the wider church community.

– Partner with parents to support and equip them in nurturing their children’s faith.

• Administrative Duties:

– Manage the youth ministry budget and resources effectively.

– Regularly communicate with church leadership and parents regarding youth activities and initiatives.

Qualifications:

– A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a strong personal faith and a passion for youth ministry.

– Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field (theological training preferred).

– Previous experience (2+ years) in youth ministry leadership, demonstrating effective teaching, mentoring, and organizational skills.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to youth, parents, and volunteers.

– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support the church’s overall mission.

Preferred Skills:

– Experience in organizing and leading youth events, camps, retreats, and missions.

– Proficiency in using technology and social media for ministry purposes.

– Understanding of current youth culture and challenges faced by young people today.
