- Aligned with the core theological principles of Redeemer West Side and the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), including the Westminster Confession.
- If ordained, credentials are in the PCA or able to be ordained in the PCA.
- If not, able to be examined under similar qualifications.
- Undergraduate degree required. Plus, a Master’s Degree in ministry, theology, or a related field.
- Passion for and 3-5+ years of experience leading ministries for youth, children, and families.
- Energetic, fun, outgoing, and able to draw youth.
- Strong gathering ability to take the initiative to recruit volunteers.
- Previous experience building systems and setting programming.
- Wisdom and discernment to advise on complex family dynamics and issues.
- Able to navigate and affirm a city-positive approach to ministry in New York City.
- Must be a dependable team player and self-starter.
- Engaging, encouraging, experienced, and wise in individual pastoral responsibilities.
- Proven ability to navigate interpersonal relationships.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Work hours are generally flexible on certain days, yet must be available for regular evening and weekend meetings. In-person most days and remote some days.
- Proficient in GSuite (Google Docs, etc.) and messaging and project software.
- Ability to work collaboratively and interface with other ministries and congregations.
- Agreement with Redeemer West Side staff policies, including the intellectual property policy.
