Matt Brown is the Family Pastor over both campuses of The Gathering Baptist Church in Kansas City, Mo. He lives there with his wife, Kaylee, daughter, Isla, and two dogs, Annie and Oakley. In addition to his love for student and family ministry he enjoys hanging out with his family, watching the Chiefs and the Royals, hunting, fishing, and being out in God’s Creation.
When we fix our eyes on the unseen promises of God, we can trust that no matter what happens on this earth, He is sovereign and He reigns.

I ask you as parents to evaluate and encourage youth pastors in the same way we should evaluate and encourage all other pastors: based on their ability to preach and teach God’s Word, to exhort and encourage the church, and to lead their flocks well.
When studying through Revelation with teenagers, it is helpful to show that yes, while crazy stuff is going to happen, God is still in control.
