Rooted Parent Podcast Launches Season 2: “Sane Parenting in Insane Times”

Today, Rooted launches season 2 of the Rooted Parent Podcast, entitled “Sane Parenting in Insane Times.” Hosted by Cameron Cole and Anna Meade Harris, this podcast aims to equip parents to think biblically about some of the most pressing and confusing issues of our day. They will discuss topics such as loving our enemies, engaging with the news, grieving the varied losses of the COVID season, and coping with anger (to name a few). In each episode the hosts will dissect the issue, examine relevant Scripture, and share how the gospel guides parents into practical action.

Episode 1 of this new season is titled, “Understanding COVID Season As Grief.” During this long and weary COVID season, teenagers are experiencing intense loss, separation, and the sad reality that nothing is the way it is supposed to be. In this first episode of Rooted Parent Season Two, Cameron Cole and Anna Meade Harris discuss their personal experiences of grief and suggest ways parents can minister biblical comfort to their families. We encourage you to listen, subscribe and stay tuned for more episodes from season 2. Click here for show notes and more information.

Rooted also wants to extend our thanks and gratitude to the host of our first season entitled, “All About Boys”– David Thomas. David hosted ten incredible episodes about boys. The first season of Rooted Parent started with a brief overview of developmental stages for boys; subsequent episodes provided great insight into the hearts and minds of boys – their relationships with friends, parents, and the opposite sex — and so much more. If you have not had a chance to listen to the episodes, we encourage you to start today from the very beginning.

David, thank you so much for your wisdom and insight. Rooted looks forward to hearing more from you as a workshop speaker at the Rooted 2021 conference in Birmingham on October 7-9, 2021.
