Fear Factor in Parenting: Taking Refuge in the Fear of the Lord

In this episode Cameron and Anna discuss the ways in which our fears for our kids harm our kids, but there is hope to be found taking refuge in the fear of the Lord. In the words of Tim Keller, fear of the Lord doesn’t mean being afraid of him. Rather, fear of the Lord is “sustaining a joyful astonished awe and wonder before him.” With this in mind, Cameron and Anna discuss practical ways to sustain that awe, such that fearing the Lord means “we don’t have to fear anything else.” Such freedom we find when we keep our “eyes on the prize” that is Jesus!
