As believers, we are called to make disciples of all cultures, including the world of middle school and high school students! Specifically, youth ministry provides an avenue for students to be influenced by individuals beyond their immediate family circle. While families play an essential role in shaping their children, young people also crave guidance and support from mentors who can offer unique perspectives and community with their peers.
We have the opportunity to connect with young minds, building relationships based on trust, authenticity, and faith in Jesus. In essence, youth ministry acts as a beacon of support, offering young people the guidance and encouragement they need to grow in their relationships with Jesus, each other, and His church.
Two year residents receive weekly training, development, and meetings with our permanent staff. The only real requirements for this job are a deep love for the Lord, a willingness to learn and work hard, and a desire for students to know Jesus better!
