NextGen Pastor/Director: Students and Families

Requirements

• Christlike character and knowledge of the Scriptures
• Authentic passion to reach and disciple students
• Strong desire to connect with and equip parents
• Coachable spirit and hunger to grow as a leader
• Sincere commitment to a sustained season of ministry to students and families (minimum of 3-5 years)
• Creative vision to establish a student ministry that is simultaneously dynamic and attractive as well as spiritually rich and formative
• Willing and able to become a member of Cornerstone and to serve as a vital member of the staff, pastoral team, and congregation
• Able to affirm the Baptist Faith & Message 2000

Responsibilities

• Leads in developing, implementing, and overseeing Cornerstone’s NextGen ministry plan for students
• Partners with parents to raise a generation of disciples on mission
• Leads in planning, organizing, promoting, and executing of all student ministry programs and events
• Promotes opportunities for students to serve with Cornerstone’s ministry teams beyond the student ministry
• Recruits and equips an effective team of student ministry volunteer leaders
  • Giving vision, direction, and responsibility to those leaders
  • Provides direction and leadership for parents, students, volunteers, staff and the congregation on matters relating to student ministry
• Ensures timely, consistent, and clear communication is provided to students, parents, staff, and volunteers
• Regular ministry to students on campus
  • Works with direct report to establish plan/schedule
  • Trains volunteer leaders to assist with campus ministry
• Assists in planning and carrying out additional events and missions efforts
  • Retreats, Camps, Mission Trips
• Other Responsibilities
  • Joyfully serves as a member of Cornerstone’s staff and pastoral team assisting with additional tasks as requested or assigned
