- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINISTRY (RELATIONAL INVESTMENT)
- Building Relationships: Invest time and energy in initiating and cultivating relationships with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys to help them grow in their understanding of and application of the Gospel in their lives.
- Active Engagement: Be actively involved in knowing the names and involvement status of the boys in the ministry, and build intentional relationships with them.
- Leadership in Teaching: Assist in leading and teaching in the 3 Degrees program and Jr. HighADMINISTRATION
- Curriculum Development: Help plan and implement weekly programs, including developing relevant and engaging curriculum that meets the spiritual needs of 6th-8th grade boys.
- Transition Support: Assist in helping students transition into Jr. High and navigate the unique challenges and opportunities that arise during this stage of life.
- Outreach Events: Plan and implement grade- specific outreach events to engage students and create opportunities for new boys to get involved in the ministry.
Sunday School, providing solid biblical teaching tailored for the needs of junior high boys.
• Small Group Oversight: Oversee Jr. High boys’ small groups by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer leaders to guide the students in deeper faith discussions.
• Parental Support: Come alongside parents to encourage and assist them in discipling their sons, providing resources and guidance when necessary.
• Retreats and Service Trips: Help organize and lead retreats, conferences, and service learning trips that challenge students in their faith and encourage active service to others.
• Summer Ministry: Help plan and implement summer ministry programs that continue to nurture and build relationships with students while challenging them to grow in their faith.
• Partnership Development: Foster relationships with local and non-local ministry partners, seeking opportunities for collaboration and outreach.

• Direct Supervision: Report directly to the • Youth Director and work closely with the Session’s Youth Committee to support the overall youth
ministry vision.Team Collaboration: Work in collaboration with the 2-year Residents in the youth ministry program, recruiting, training, and supervising them as needed.

• Active Participation: Attend church-wide functions and age-appropriate ministry events (unless they conflict with the youth ministry schedule).

• Study Leave: The Junior High Boys Coordinator position includes one week of study leave annually, allowing time for spiritual reflection, personal growth, or academic pursuit.
