Tommy Wilson
I am a Birmingham native and fourth generation physician/surgeon, all having lived and
served in this area. After graduating from high school, I attended Washington and Lee
University. Thereafter, I completed medical school at Vanderbilt and afterward,
internship and training in neurosurgery at Wake Forest, where I met my wife of 33 years
and counting. I was in the private practice of neurosurgery at St. Vincent’s in
Birmingham until my retirement. My wife, Lynn and I have three children, two of them in
Birmingham, and one in Washington, DC. I am a lifelong member of the Cathedral
Church of the Advent and have been engaged there through the years in various
capacities. I have been on the board of directors at ProAssurance Corp. for the last
twelve years, having served as lead director for several years. I am honored and
excited to participate as a member of the board of Rooted Ministries and look forward to
the impact this organization will have in shaping the lives of future generations of
Christians.
